Late Fall Oyster
Panellus serotinus

This mushroom is rated only as "edible" by Nation Audubon guide.  I like firm mushrooms and rate it as good.

The top has an unappealing greenish ting to it.

I always pre boil this mushroom before cooking as I want.  This green color dissolves in the boiling water and the mushroom turns white.  The green water is thrown away.
